What Kev is
Kev, by Jared Palmer, fine-tunes Qwen bases into decision models with the same question types. Published sizes run from 0.8B, which can run on an Apple Silicon Mac, up to larger GPU checkpoints. Each checkpoint ships a fitted temperature. The server speaks the System One request, so an existing client can point at your host.
Same request, your machine
The body can look the same: a state, plus choice, score and yes/no questions. The model, the uptime and the data path are yours. You patch the weights, you watch the GPU, and you decide which version is in production.
When it fits
Pick Kev when you want that request shape on hardware you control. Pick JEV Gateway when you want the same request shape against hosted Jev, with keys and prepaid credits, and no GPU to run.
