Jev 1.14 — experimental image input, Box questions, and 262K long context
Experimental — image input & Box
Jev 1.14 (Cloudflare id typesafe/jev-1.14.0) is TypeSafe's newest structured evaluation model on Optio. Image inputs and Box questions are experimental; long context reaches 262K tokens; price is $0.042 per million input tokens with output free. Not a TypeSafe product — Optio is an independent gateway.
What shipped in 1.14
Jev 1.14 keeps the System One contract — Noul, Choice and Score — and adds experimental image inputs plus Box questions that return a bounding box with confidence. On TypeSafe's own stack, long context can be raised to 262K tokens per request and per question with the danger-zone long-context header. Cloudflare's catalog page for typesafe/jev-1.14.0 currently lists a 32,000-token context window for the Workers AI / AI Gateway route Optio uses; treat 262K as the TypeSafe long-context figure, and validate on your own payloads before relying on either limit in production.
Experimental: image input and Box
Image inputs and Box questions are marked beta / dreamer-ready on Cloudflare's model card and are not recommended for production gates. Box answers look like { type: "box", box: { top, bottom, left, right }, confidence }. Pair a Box with a Noul visibility check when you need both location and presence. Optio's hosted playground and request schema today still focus on text Noul/Choice/Score; call notes for images and Box come from the upstream Cloudflare examples for typesafe/jev-1.14.0.
Price
Input is $0.042 per million tokens. Cached input and output tokens are $0.00 on the Cloudflare catalog listing. Optio still meters your workspace in credits (about 1 credit per 1,000 input tokens); failed requests are refunded. Output tokens stay free at the model layer.
How Optio calls it
Optio's default upstream model id is typesafe/jev-1.14.0 on Cloudflare Workers AI / AI Gateway. Send POST /api/v1/systemone with a Bearer workspace key, a state, and typed questions. The response model field reports the versioned id that answered (for example jev-1.14.0). Aliases jev-latest and typesafe-jev-latest on this site point at the 1.14 landing; pin typesafe/jev-1.14.0 in your own logs when you care about exact versioning.
Independent gateway notice
Optio is an independently operated access gateway for calling Jev. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of TypeSafe. Specs and prices on this page are taken from Cloudflare's typesafe/jev-1.14.0 card and TypeSafe's public models documentation; always re-check those sources before a production cutover.
FAQ
- Is Jev 1.14 production-ready?
- Text Noul/Choice/Score on 1.14 is the default Optio routes to. Image inputs and Box questions are experimental — Cloudflare labels them beta and not recommended for production. Validate thresholds on your own cases either way.
- What is the context window — 32K or 262K?
- Cloudflare lists 32,000 tokens for typesafe/jev-1.14.0 on the AI Gateway route. TypeSafe documents a 262K long-context mode behind TypeSafe-Danger-Zone-Long-Context: true on its direct API. Optio's Cloudflare path follows the catalog figure unless upstream exposes the long-context header on that route.
- How much does Jev 1.14 cost through Optio?
- Upstream list price is $0.042 per million input tokens with output free. Optio sells prepaid credit packs and charges about 1 credit per 1,000 input tokens against your workspace.
- Does this page replace Jev 1.13?
- No. /models/jev-1-13 stays up for teams that still pin 1.13. Optio's default upstream is now 1.14; keep 1.13 bookmarked if you are comparing versions or migrating thresholds.
